Padukone (the child of badminton player Prakash Padukone) was born and grew up in Bangalore. In her teens she competed at the national badminton tournaments and international levels. But, she resigned from the game to make a profession as a fashion designer. Padukone was born in Mangalore in India. Her mother tongue Konkani is her mother tongue. Padukone Village is situated in Kundapura Taluk within the Udupi District in Karnataka within India. Prakash Padukone was a badminton legend who retired in the late 1980s. Her mother, a travel agency, also hails from this area.
